
Nhumi Technologies was founded by three IBM alumni in March 2009 and is based in Zurich, Switzerland. With partners in the Healthcare and Pharma sector, Nhumi develops applications with medical experts keeping a strong focus on usability and clinical relevance. Its main activities are the organization and visualization of clinical data supported by a flexible and powerful analytical engine that enables the user to interact with his data according to its meaning.
Team
Andre Elisseeff is the managing director and co-founder of Nhumi Technologies. He spends most of his days finding the best ways to organize and serve medical and healthcare information. Andre was born in France and holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon. He led several projects on risk management for pharmaceutical companies, clinical data analysis for hospitals and eHealth for larger health organizations, including the IBM 3D Avatar that got spun off to Nhumi Technologies in 2009.
Ulf Holm Nielsen is the technology director and co-founder of Nhumi Technologies. Born in Denmark, he has been working in technology from his very early days. He currently dedicates most of his energy in developing the best software for such complex organizations as hospitals or pharmaceutical companies. Ulf holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the IT University of Copenhagen. Ulf was the technical leader of several Health IT projects in data analysis and including the IBM 3D Avatar.
Olivier Siegenthaler heads the terminology and semantic analysis development. His job is to store loads of data, aggregate knowledge from several terminologies or compute the most accurate statistics. Olivier was born in Switzerland and holds a PhD in Mathematics from the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.
Hlynur Tryggvason heads the Computer graphics and User Interfaces development. Hlynur addresses all challenges regarding visualization and interaction with complex datasets. Born and raised on the Westman Islands in Iceland, Hlynur holds a MSc degree in Computer Games Programming from University of Westminster. Prior to joining Nhumi, Hlynur worked in the Computer Games industry for a couple of years.
Thomas Kappler heads the data import and management development. He makes sure any data can be imported and stored correctly on Nhumi's infrastructure. Thomas was born in Germany and holds a MSc in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Nhumi, he worked at the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics on the UniProt protein knowledgebase.
